Curt Douglas
Curt Douglas graduated from Theodore high school in 1953 after playing football for his father. His first head coaching job was at Manchester high school in Georgia in 1966. He stayed with the program for three successful seasons before moving to Baldwin high in 1969 for another two years as the head football coach.
He returned to Mobile and took a job as an assistant coach at Murphy under head coach Bob Shaw.
Coach Douglas took over the football program at his alma mater in the fall of 1979. Over the next seven seasons the Bobcats enjoyed some of their best teams in history.
Douglas resigned from his coaching duties at Theodore in July, 1987 following surgery at the advice of his doctor. His record at Theodore was 56-33 over eight seasons. Five of his teams reached the playoffs and the 1984 team was the first in school history to win ten games in a season.
He remained at Theodore as a teacher. Douglas overall record in both states is 99-44 over the course of thirteen seasons.
