Macon-East Academy Knights
Glynn Lott
Glynn Lott was a 1983 graduate of Lowndes Academy.
Coach Lott coached both girls and boys basketball at Macon Academy from 1985-90 and Meadowview Christian from 1991-94. He became the first head football coach at Macon-East Academy when that school relocated to Cecil in 1995.
Two years later, Lott took over the duties as the athletic director at Macon-East and transformed the AISA school in east Montgomery County into one of the states best known programs while coaching five different sports. He became the head football coach in 1996, the first football season for the new school.
Lott has been named All-Metro coach 14 times and All-State coach six times. The Alabama Sports Writers Association selected him as the AISA Coach of the Year in 2000. Coach Lott has won state championships in football, softball and track while guiding basketball teams to eight Final Four appearances.
Coach Lott has served as the president of the AISA Coaches Association. He also has served as headmaster at Macon-East Academy.
