 Howard Busby 

Howard "Buzz" Busby graduated from Waynesboro High School in Mississippi. Busby played football at Livingston where he was a two-time letterman 1968-69.

His first head coaching job came in 1974 at Citronelle. Busby stayed for only one season with a 1-9 record. He became the head football coach at Monroe County High School in 1981 for a seven year stint.

Coach Busby accepted the head coaching job at Kendrick High School in Georgia in 1988. He stayed with the school for four seasons with a record of 38-10-1. His 1991 team tied Lakeside (Atlanta) for the Georgia State Championship.

In 1992 Coach Busby jumped from Georgia back to Alabama with Central High School in Tuscaloosa. His Falcons would win the Class 6A State Championship in 1995 with a 13-3 record. TheFalcons squeaked by Jeff Davis High School, from Montgomery, 7-6 to earn his first title in Alabama.

Busbys overall record in seven years at Central was 65-17-1. His teams made the playoffs in all but one season and won four region titles.

In 1999, Busby took over the program at Statesboro, Georgia for five seasons with a record of 55-11-1. His 2000 team lost to Shaw in the state finals. The 2001 Statesboro team finished 15-0 and gave Busby his second State Championship in Georgia. Two years later his team lost to Marist in the Class 3-AAA State Championship game.

In 2004, Busby moved to Pike County High School in Georgia where his two teams finished 13-8. Coach Busbys eleven year coaching career in Georgia produced a 106-92-2 record with three state titles.

His overall football record in Alabama is 116-62-1. Combined with the Georgia record he stands at 222-154-3.
