 Jeff Bullen

Jeff Bullen was a standout wide receiver during his playing career at Gaylesville High School. In 1980 the Trojans lost their only game of the year in the first round of the playoffs to Madison Academy 21-10. For his efforts, Bullen was named to the All-State team his senior season.

Bullen went on to play college football at Jacksonville State University. Bullen caught 47 passes in his career and scored four touchdowns for the Gamecocks.

He was a tight-end on the 1982 Gulf South Conference championship team. He was named to the All-Conference team in 1985. In the fall of 1988, Bullen accepted his first head coaching assignment at Cedar Bluff High School.

He remained at Cedar Bluff for five seasons compiling a 39-18 record. In 1993, he took over the football program at Cherokee County High school another five season stint as the head football coach of the Warriors. The 2000 football season found him as the head coach at Childersburg.

Following the 2008 season, Bullen stepped down as the head coach but remained active in the sport. He served as an assistant at Coosa Valley Academy and at Woodland High School in Carterville, Ga. Bullen joined CVA head coach Vince DiLorenzo who left after leading the Rebels to the AISA Class A football championship in 2010.

Bullen was led three teams during his 19-year career as head coach. He coached Cedar Bluff, Cherokee County and Childersburg to a combined record of 97-103.
