Jeremy Perkins
Jeremy Perkins played quarterback and linebacker at Thompson High before moving on to Samford University, where he played football and baseball. A four-year letterman for the Bulldogs, Perkins served as team captain in 1993-94 and earned all-conference academic honors.
Perkins' coaching experience includes serving as defensive coordinator at Thompson (10 years) under his former high school coach, Ricky Seale, and special teams coordinator at Hoover (5 season) under Rush Propst and Josh Niblett. At Hoover, coached in the 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 state championship games.
In 2010 he became the head football coach at Austin.
