Jim Elgin
Jim Elgin took over the Pleasant Grove program in 2004 after three seasons as an assistant and the defensive coordinator under coach Keith Luker.
He graduated from Trenton Peabody High School in Tennessee and his resume includes coaching football at the college level. He was the baseball coach and assistant football coach at Rhodes College in Memphis TN.
Since arriving at Pleasant Grove his teams have gone a combined 93-58 in thirteen seasons. The 2014 team finished with a 12-3 record and reached the 5A state Championship game before falling to St. Pauls.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
