 Jimmy Warr 

James DeWitt Warr was born January 10, 1942 in Marion Junction, Alabama. He attended Pine Hill High School and played football for the school. Warr was named to the 2nd team All-State team his senior year as a guard.

Warr graduated high school in 1960, and in 1964 he graduated from Livingston University, where he lettered in football for four years (1960-64).

He taught and was the head coach at Millry High School, Washington County High School, Stokes Academy, Thomasville Academy, Patrician Academy, and South Choctaw Academy during his career in education.

Warrs 1972 Washington County team finished 9-0-1. All told six of his teams finished the regular season undefeated. Three of these won out in the playoffs to remain undefeated.

His overall record is 156-91-4 at six different school. Warrs teams made the playoffs a total of ten times in 23 years as a head football coach. He won an AISA state title at Thomasville Academy in 1984 and four at Patrician Academy (1986, 1988, 1989 and 1990).

During his career, Coach Warr won eight State Championships in all sports and was named the Coach of the Year four times. In 2002 he was honored to be inducted into the AISA Hall of Fame.

Coach Jimmy Warr passed away in Butler, Alabama at the age of 70 on August 14, 2012.
