John Glasscock
John Glasscock played quarterback at Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery. He would play at Troy State after graduating high school and was a letterman in 1964. Glasscock received his teaching certificate and later his Masters Degree in Administration from Troy.
Glasscock was a walk-on at Troy but earned a scholarship and the starting quarterback spot. His first head coaching job came at Rehobeth in 1971. Since that time he has been the coach at eleven different high school across the state of Alabama.
His 1984 Prattville Lions finished 14-1 and won the Class 4A State Championship. Ironically his longest tenure at any school was with the Lions and when he stayed for six seasons between 1980-85.
Coach Glasscocks overall football record is 177-145-2 in 30 seasons as a head coach.
