John Hardin
John Hardin graduated from Hackleburg High School and the University of Mississippi.
In 1989 Hardin became the head football coach at his alma mater, Hackleburg. Over the next 20 seasons his teams won 118 games and lost 98. Twelve of his squads reached the state playoffs and seven won area and region titles, including six in a row from 1992-97.
His 1997 Panthers finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record before losing in the second round of the playoffs. Coach Hardin also served as the girls basketball coach at Hackleburg.
After retiring from the football field following the 2008 season, Hardin became the principle at his alma mater, Hackleburg.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
