 Kirk Johnson 

Kirk Johnson was born in Atlanta GA and played football at Shelby County High School and Cornerstone Christian.

Following graduation he played at Huntingdon College before graduating in 2012. His first coaching job was at Sidney Lanier under head coach DAngelo Wheeler in 2012. He then went to Sylacauga High School under Coach Matt Griffith for one season.

In 2013 Coach Johnson served one year at Auburn University working on his master and helping out with the football team.

The next season found him at Catholic Montgomery where he served as the defensive coordinator the next seven seasons. Coach Johnson took over the football program following the 2020 football season.

His Knights won the 2023 4A state championship under his leadership with a perfect 15-0 record.
