Lance Reese
Then Guntersville head coach Phil Lazenby hired Lance Reese as an assistant coach in 1991, and he has never left. Lance was defensive coordinator for Guntersvilles 2006 Class 4A state championship squad, which finished 14-1. Coach Reese landed the head coaching job at Guntersville in 2010 when Phil Isom retired.
He was the defensive coordinator for Wildcats 2006 Class 4A state championship squad, which finished 14-1. As the head coach, his 2014, 2015 and 2020 teams posted 10-0 records in the regular season. He has guided the Wildcats to 13 state playoff berths and five region championships.
He won the 100th game of his career to open the 2022 football season and one game later surpassed Joe Chorba as the winningest coach at Guntersville.
