 Laron White 

Laron White got his first head coaching position at Tanner immediately upon graduating college. He leads the state among active coaches with a winning percentage of 83.3% in his short thirteen year career at Tanner high school.

Coach White led his team to 2A state championships in 2012 and 2013. His teams have qualified for the playoffs in each season and won a minimum of seven games.

He has led the Rattlers to eight region titles (2003, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016).

White played offensive line at Courtland earning All-State honors as an honorable mention lineman his junior season and was named to the first team in 1991 as a senior. He was named to the ASWA Super 12 team and Super All-State team by the Birmingham News. White also played in the Alabama All-Star Game in Tuscaloosa following his senior season.


He played football at Alabama under Gene Stallings from 1993-96, where he was a part of three SEC Western Division championships for the Crimson Tide.

Tanner won forty-five regular season games in a row between 2009-14. They also had a 59 game region winning streak.

Following the 2016 seasons, Coach White resigned his position at Tanner to accept the same position at Sparkman.

Coach White served as the offensive line coach for Alabama in the 25th annual Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game in 2011. His father, Louis White was a successful coach at Courtland and won four state championships. His father and uncle, Mylun White are in the AHSAA Hall of Fame. His brother, Louis, Jr., is the head coach at Dothan High School.
