 Lee Ozmint

Growing up in Anderson, S.C., Ozmint did not start playing football until his junior year at T.L. Hanna High School in 1984. Up until that time, basketball was his primary sport. After a stellar high school football career he decided that Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama was where he wanted to go.

Ozmint joined coach Ray Perkins and the Crimson Tide and after three seasons and an SEC championship later, Ozmint graduated from Alabama with a degree in English. He then moved on to law school at Alabama, where he earned his juris doctorate.

He took a job as a lawyer in Tuscaloosa and then in Gadsden before making a major career change and got into teaching and assisting the football program at Gadsden High in 2001. He spent five seasons on the Tigers staff as the defensive coordinator.

In 2006 he accepted the head coaching job at Glencoe. Over the next ten seasons he led the Yellow Jackets to a combined record of 77-37 with seven playoff appearances and a region championship in 2014.

Ozmint spent the next three seasons as the Linebackers and Speed and Strength Coach at Oxford High School, helping lead the 6A Yellow Jackets to a combined 32-5 record, including a pair of region titles and two trips to the AHSAA quarterfinals.

Coach Ozmint moved onto Arab High in 2019 where he continued to be successful on the sidelines for the Knights.
