 Lynn Wright 

Lynn Wright is a native of Carrollton, Alabama where he graduated from Carrollton High School in 1970 after being a star performer on the football field. He was also a 1974 graduate of Livingston University where he played football for the Tigers (1972-74).

Wright helped lead the Tigers to a 22-7-3 record during his three years in Livingston, including a record of 8-1-2 and a trip to the NAIA Semifinals in 1972.

He began his high school career at his alma mater as an assistant coach and teacher in 1975 where he served for the next five years. In 1980, Wright moved over to Jackson Academy as an assistant football coach for three more seasons.

Coach Wright began his coaching head football coaching career in 1983 at McIntosh Academy, where he would serve as head coach through the 1987 season.

His teams won four Alabama Christian Athletic Conference 2A Championships before he left the school after the 1987 season. His 1984 team also won the NACA Division II National Championship.

In 1988, Wright landed the head football coaching position at Pickens Academy and the winning continued. Over a brilliant 18 year stay at Pickens Academy, he led the Pirates to five AISA 2A State Championships in football and three baseball state titles.

He had an impressive 209-75 overall record in 26 years of coaching football and owns a 237-77 record in 11 years of coaching baseball. Wright coached five undefeated football teams and put together winning streaks of 47 and 32 games.

In addition to coaching, he also served as the headmaster at Pickens Academy, and won the AISA 2A Presidents Award for the Highest Academic School in its class.

Wright has been named AISA Coach of the Year five times and is a member of the Alabama Independent School Associations Hall of Fame.
