Pat Prestridge
Prestridge took over the football program at Randolph County in 2001 where he remained for seven seasons before stepping down. He returned in 2013 after a few seasons away from the program.
His Tigers won the 2003 2A state championship with a 21-14 victory over Luverne and finished with a 14-1 record. In 2017 the Tigers fell to Hillcrest Evergreen 26-14 in the state championship game.
On October 20, 2023 Coach Prestridge became the winningest coach in Randolph County football history when he surpassed Ron Watters with victory number 148 in a 50-29 win over Beulah. Coach Prestridge took over for Coach Watters in 2001.

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
