 Phillip Lolley

Phillip Lolley grew up in Butler, Alabama and graduated from South Choctaw Academy. He received a Bachelors degree from Livingston in 1977 and a Masters degree in 1981.

In 1977, Lolley began his coaching career as an assistant football coach at South Choctaw Academy in Toxey, Alabama. After one season he accepted the head coaching position at Warrior Academy.

Over the next four seasons his teams went 25-18 making the playoffs his final two seasons at the school. For two years (1982-83) Lolley served as the defensive coordinator at Demopolis High School before accepting the head coaching job at Stevenson High School.

In Stevenson, Coach Lolley found success on the football field with his four teams going a combined 28-16 with three playoff appearances. Following the 1987 season, Stevenson and Bridgeport combined to form a new school called North Jackson. Coach Lolley took over as the head coach and the winning continued.

Each of his eleven teams qualified for the playoffs and finished with winning records. His teams finished a combined 95-40. The Chiefs won seven area titles and a State Championship in 1993 with a 14-1 record. The 1993 Chiefs defeated Daleville 21-14 for the title.

After retiring from the high school ranks, Coach Lolley accepted a position with the Auburn University as the Conditioning Coach. He has remained with the team since and is currently the cornerbacks coach.

His overall high school coaching record is 145-68 in 19 seasons as a head coach. Lolley was named the Class 4A Coach of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 1993.
