 Ronnie Sikes 

Ronnie Sikes attended Randolph County High School, Southern Union State Junior College and Auburn University. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Education from Auburn.

Following graduation, he served as an assistant coach at Valley High School (1981-83), Notasulga (1984-87), Beulah (1990-92) and Mortimer Jordan High in 1988 before accepting the head coaching position at Mortimer Jordan in the fall of 1989 for one season. His only team went 7-4.

In 1992 he returned to Notasulga as the head coach for the next twelve seasons. His teams there made the playoffs in all but two years and won five region championships. The 2001 team advanced to the State Championship game before losing to Reeltown 46-6 at Legion Field in Birmingham.

Coach Sikes moved over to Lanett High School in 2004 as the head football coach. In five years his teams qualified for the playoffs four times and won another region title in 2007.

In 2009 Coach Sikes took over as the head football coach at Springwood Academy in the AISA. His overall football coaching record is 161-96 through the 2012 season. /p>

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Spence McCracken won a record 21 Area/Region Championships at Montgomery Academy, Lee Montgomery and Opelika during his coaching career.
