 Tim Oneal

Tim ONeal was a standout back on the 1963 Cordova State Championship team. He was also named to the All-State team by the Birmingham News and Post Herald.

Coach ONeal became the head football coach at Parrish High School in 1975. The Tornados finished the regular season undefeated in 1979 and 1980 before falling in the second round of the state playoffs each season. Coach ONeals overall record in six seasons at Parrish was 47-15-1.

ONeal stepped down at Parrish following the 1980 season to accept the head coaching job at Cordova High School. He remained with the Blue Devils for eleven years and compiled a record of 89-40. His first team finished with a 2-8 record but he turned things around quickly. His last two squads won twelve games each and reached the semi-finals of the playoffs.

Cordova won five region titles and qualified for the playoffs eight times during his tenure at the school. ONeal stepped down after the 1991 season.

In 1994 he took over the football program at Dora High School for three seasons with a 12-18 record. After the 1996 season he retired from his head coaching duties.

Coach ONeals overall record is 148-73-1 in 20 years as a head football coach in Alabama. His teams finished 49-20 in area and region play and made the playoffs a total of twelve times.
