 Toby Greene

Toby Greene was an assistant for Don Creasy and Joey Jones at Mountain Brook prior to becoming the head football coach at Rehobeth in 1999. His three seasons at the school produced a 16-16 record.

In 2002 he moved to Muscle Shoals and spent two years as the head football coach before landing in at Geneva County for three seasons.

Greene took the head coaching position at Cottonwood in 2007 where he stayed the next nine seasons. His teams went 60-39 and 5-4 in the playoffs. The 2007 and 2010 teams produced identical 12-1 seasons.

In 2016 Greene accepted the head coaching and athletic director position at Clarke County. In late June he resigned from Clarke County and accepted a position at Dothan High as an assistant coach.

He resurfaced as a head coach again in 2019 at Florala before moving to Headland the next season. He took over the reins at Northside Methodist Academy in 2021.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
