Trent Taylor
Trent Taylor graduated from Andalusia High School and the University of Mobile.
His first coaching job came at Baldwin County High school in 1987. He spent one year there before accepting the head coaching position at Kinston High School in southeast Alabama.
He spent two seasons at Kinston before moving over to Straughn in the fall of 1990. He has remained with the program ever since. Over 25 years his teams at Straughn had combined for a 165-104 record with 19 playoff appearances. His teams have also won four region titles.
Coach Taylor was named Class 3A Coach of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 2012.
Following the 2014 season, Coach Taylor returned to Andalusia high school to assume the head coaching duties for the Bulldogs.
His overall record is 277-148 in 36 years of service as a head football coach in Alabama. His Andalusia Bulldogs won their first state championship since 1977 in 2022 by defeating Cherokee County in the Super Seven in Auburn.
