Micah Johnson leaves Headland with a 19-32 record after five seasons at the school. His best season in 2011 produced a 6-5 record which was the most wins for a struggling program since 1988.

Headland will open the 2015 season under the direction of their ninth head football coach in the past twenty years. The Rams have not won a playoff game since the 1988 season when the finished 10-2 under the direction of head coach Michael Sellers.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
