Veteran head coach Trent Taylor resigned following the 2014 season to accept the head coaching position at Andalusia high school.

Taylor, a graduate of Andalusia high school, spent 25 seasons at Straughn where he built a very successful program. His teams went 175-107 and qualified for the playoffs a total of twenty times and won four region championships.

His overall record, including two seasons at Kinston (1988-89), stands at 183-121.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

From 1947 until his retirement in 1992 Glenn Daniel's teams won 302 games at Pine Hill and Luverne. He was the winningest coach in state history until 2010.
