Chris Bunio parted ways with Elkmont just eight games into the 2023 football season. His record in the year and a half span was 5-13 at Elkmont. The staff completed the season serving in the head coaching role in 2023. The Red Devils have not qualified for the playoffs since the 2014 football season which was also the last winning season for the school. Since that year they will be hiring their fifth head football coach in 2024. 2024 Season Joel Schrenk stepped down as the head football coach at Woodland in January. He led the football program the past two seasons with a record of 4-16. He leaves after a dozen seasons as the head coach at Falkville, Hazel Green and Woodland. His overall record stands at 60-66. Schrenk arrives in Elkmont in hopes of turning around a program that has struggled recently. | |
