2024 Head Football Coaching Changes

Hazel Green
Charlie Wilburn will not be back with the Trojans in 2023 as the school will be seeking new leadership on the football field this season. After just two years and a 4-17 record Hazel Green will be looking for someone to finally post a winning season and win their first ever playoff game. The Trojans have only enjoyed a single winning season over the past eleven years but hope those fortunes will be turned around soon. 2024 Season Fred Farrier in his last coaching stop was an assistant coach at Alabama A&M where he coached the running backs. Farrier also spent time as the head coach of Kentucky State and Morgan State. Farrier played college football at Holy Cross where he was a receiver.

Homewood defeated Benjamin Russell in five overtimes during the Class 5A Super Six state championship game in 2000.
