2024 Head Football Coaching Changes

Mortimer Jordan
Dustan Goode stepped down as the head coach at Mortimer Jordan after a dozen seasons at the school. He leaves as the coach with the most wins at the school in their history. He also led the Blue Devils to some of the best seasons in their history including a spot in the 2015 state championship game against St. Paul's. He leaves with a record of 80-41 for the Blue Devils and eight trips to the playoffs. 2024 Season Heath Lauderdale was promoted to the the head coaching job in May for the Blue Devils. Lauderdale has been the assistant head coach the past two seasons at the school. He has 16 years of coaching experience, including a five-year stint as the head coach at Susan Moore where his teams finished 31-22 between 2017-2021. His 2019 team completed a perfect 10-0 regular season before finishing with a record of 11-1.
