Active Coaches with the Most Wins

The 2023 offseason saw many coaching changes that will affect schools for year to come. Jack French retired at Faith Academy with his 314 victories over 40 seasons. Ronnie Cottrell also retired following Mobile Christian's first AHSAA state championship. Mike Battles, Jr. retires from Tallassee after posting 195 career victories.

That leaves us with the list of coaches with at least 160 wins to their name. Terry Curtis with 355 wins leads the way as three other coaches with at least 300 victories follow. Sixty-nine head active football coaches in the state have won at least 100 games over the course of their careers. These numbers include games won in states other than Alabama.
