Central Phenix City and Jackson in Class 4A are the only unanimous No. 1 teams in this week's Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football rankings.

Carver Montgomery moves up to #4 in 7A and that is the highest they have been ranked since the 2014 season. Corner, the No. 7 team in 5A is the highest they have been since week three of the 1996 football season.

The Super 6 State Championships began in 1996. Since then all title games were played at Legion Field in Birmingham until 2009.
