Alabama High School Football Head Coaches

Chris Garmon

Chris Garmon graduated from White Plains High School and received his degree from Jacksonville State.

Garmon compiled a 70-33 record at Crossville, and his teams made seven playoff appearances in his nine seasons. He led four teams to the second round in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1999. Under his direction, the Lions captured four area championships and won 10 games in a season twice (1995 and 1996).

In 2003 he moved over to Sardis, and inherited a team which had not been to the playoffs since 1995. Sardis had won just six games since the start of the 1996 season and went 1-9 the previous year. Over the next seven years his teams qualified for the playoffs five straight season beginning in his third year at the school.

He stepped down as the head coach at Sardis following the 2009 season with an overall record of 110-69 in 16 years at the helm of both schools. Twelve of his sixteen teams made the playoffs and won four area titles.
