  1994 - Michigan State self-forfeited all wins in the 1994 season, resulting in Purdues loss to Michigan State being retroactively changed to a win.
  2012 - Danny Hope was fired after the end of the regular season. Patrick Higgins coached the bowl game.
  2016 - Darrell Hazell was fired on October 16, 2016. Gerad Parker was named the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
  2022 - On December 7, 2022, head coach Jeff Brohm accepted the head coach position at Louisville. His brother and Purdue offensive coordinator Brian Brohm served as interim head coach for the Boilermakers during the Citrus Bowl.
