  1977 - UCLA and Mississippi State wins over Washington were later forfeited due to ineligible players.
  1979 - Arizona State win over Washington was later forfeited due to ineligible players.
  1993 - Washington was hit by sanctions from the Pac-10 Conference, which included a two-year bowl ban.
  2013 - Sarkisian was the head coach for the 12 regular season games of the 2013 season. Marques Tuiasosopo was appointed interim head coach for the bowl game.
  2021 - Washington fired Jimmy Lake on November 14. Defensive coordinator Bob Gregory replaced Lake as interim head coach, going 0-3.
