I am thinking about publishing team books for every team. What do you think?

Basically each book would be published for a school and contain almost everything for that team on AHSFHS.org. I have thought about this for a few years but never could figure out if it was feasible. Amazon actually makes it pretty easy to publish books but 400 of them will take some time.

I have started putting some together and will be printing a few copies to see how they look. The books would be between about 40-60 pages with scores to all that team's games along with the region/area standings for the region they competed in each year. All-state players, all-star and award winning players, coaches, records, stats, polls, playoff games, record vs. opponents, their biggest rivalry, and more.

If you were to look at any team on AHSFHS.org you would see everything in the book.

About the best I could do on a price is $9.99. I think there are a lot of fans willing to pay that for a copy of everything we have for their favorite team. Sometimes it is easier to look it up in a book than find it on the website.

What do you think?

This seems like something the AHSAA would put out but I haven't seen anything like that from them.

That is what the 2021 yearbook is. If you mean combining more than one season together that would not be feasible. The one book for the 2021 season is 194 pages. Most of the book are the region standings and games for each team.

I have thought about going backwards about ten seasons and doing a book for each year if there is any interest in that. It could be done.
I do intend to produce a yearbook for every season going forward. I will have more time during the off season to add even more content. They just would not be available until right around Christmas because I need to include the all-state players and they are not announced until the Sunday before Christmas.

The 2021 yearbook is great in my opinion. It contains so much more information than I can even tell about here. I hope fans will give it a try and if you are not 100% happy I will gladly refund your money. My promise to you.

Absolutely love the idea!

I love the idea as I did this for years on a website for Winston County. The downside of printing them is that it becomes dated pretty quickly. Maybe that would be a setup for an updated version every 5 or 10 years though.

This would only include football. The biggest problem with any other sport is I can not guarantee the information on AHSFHS.org. While many coaches keep me informed of coaching changes in the other sports there are still many of them where I have absolutely no idea when coaching changes happen.

I also do not have season records for many of the schools. I wish coaches and fans would send me this information so I could keep everything updated.

It is not realistic for me to find every coach and every record for 400 schools in eight different sports. While I do try it just is not possible.

So I would prefer not to publish anything I could not verify as be accurate. Maybe someday.

would this be for all sports?

I would definitely love to see this. Also speaking from a coaching standpoint if anyone is interested in going for a head job somewhere they would have the history of that program right at their fingertips.

I love it! All the work you do for this website is amazing and has been my go to for over a decade.
