Posted - 04/24/2023 : 20:07:56 I'll cheat a bit and name two. One whose been a head coach before and one who is taking a head coach position for the first time.
Despite me being against the hire I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested to see what Propst can do at Pell City, a program that hasn't known real success in a long time. He put Hoover together but the pieces were already there. Feel like he's really starting from scratch here. Several coaches have tried building the Panthers and either failed or left early.
As for rookie coaches I'm going to go with Aairon Savage at Decatur. He was part of a winning team at Auburn and has extensive experience coaching at the college level. Decatur is a very rich, old school, traditional program that tends to keep coaches a long time. I think this is just a guy Decatur needs to reverse the trend of athletes moving over to Austin. |
