Everyone knows I am a Brooks fan, and I have shared this in group texts but I want to share it here. I am not saying kids from Killen dont do stupid stuff from time to time, but it just made me really proud.

Let me tell you something I saw last night. At the conclusion of the Brooks/Oneonta game, Brooks celebrated a bit then went into the handshake line.

After the handshake line Brooks continued to celebrate, but then the kids from Oneonta locked arms and sang their fight song. Brooks stopped celebrating and let them have that moment.

Then after they finished and they left to go to the locker room a few of Oneonta's players remained on the field. My guess is maybe they were seniors taking in their last moments to wear the Redskins uniform. Obviously they were dejected. A handful of Brooks players ran over and shook their hands and gave them hugs.

I don't always agree with everything that any coaching staff does, but I can't help but think that a lot of this is Tim Bowens influence. It was seriously moving to see. Very proud of those kids.

That definitely speaks volumes of the coach and program.

P.S. I thought you was a Mars Hill fan. Boy was I wrong!
