Posted - 10/28/2024 : 08:17:01 Am I missing something regarding this region? If there is something right in front of my face, I will feel stupid. But AL Preps says if Westminster def. Madison Academy, then Plainview is 4. (They also don't have an "e" beside them on this website) Has Plainview not lost to both Madison Academy and Westminster? If so, then Plainview is eliminated no matter what. They would lose a tie breaker to either team. The Westminster/Madison Academy winner would be #3, and the loser would be #4. |

Always remember the first rule of all tie breaker situations where more than two teams are involved. "A team can not lose a tie breaker they can only win it."
So in this case Plainview is not eliminated because they can not lose the tie breaker. So the teams are still tied in this case.
ALPREPS is correct in determining this.

Plainview loses head to head with both Madison Academy and Westminster. In no scenario would their be a three way tie since Madison Academy and Westminster play this week, both can't have 3 region losses.

Yeah, that was how I saw it. There can not be a three-way tie. Madison Academy plays Westminster this week, so one of those two will be 5-3. No other team can finish with 3 losses. No matter which one it is, they hold the tie breaker over Plainview. |

Posted - 10/28/2024 : 08:50:31 You're right. Plainview is eliminated. The only teams in the region they can tie are Westminster and Madison Academy and both have head to head wins against Plainview. The regions order isn't settled but the four participants are:
North Jackson, Randolph, Westminster & Madison Academy.
