Former Lincoln. Albertville and Hayleville caoch and the father of Patrick Nix former Auburn QB.It would be nice if we could track coaches as the went from one state to another. It would be very hard to do though.

WARNER ROBINS ? Northside head football coach Conrad Nix announced his retirement at a news conference this afternoon.

Nix leaves Northside after turning the Eagles into one of the top high school programs in the country. The Eagles won state championships in 2006 and 2007, and Nix was the only coach in the state to win 10 games every year of the past decade. He won exactly 300 games, becoming only the third public school coach after Dan Pitts and Robert Davis to claim the feat.

The Telegraph - Northside head coach Conrad Nix stands on the sideline during a recent playoff game. Nix announced Tuesday that he was retiring from coaching. Nix had two stints at Northside, but it was the second time around that cinched his legacy. The Eagles won at least 10 games in every year since 1998, his fifth year back at Northside after coaching in Alabama. The Eagles played for five state championships in nine years beginning in 2001. The final game of Nix?s career was a loss to Camden County in this year?s Class AAAAA state championship game.

Nix previously coached at Northside from 1973-1980. He won 10 games twice in that span, and he never had a losing season in his time at Northside.

Nix also coached at Fayette County and Irwin County.
