What does everyone think about the AHSAA putting together a task force to help enforce the transfer rules that are already in place?

If it is truly for doing what is right by the schools and kids then I am for it. If all they are going to do is be lip service or show favoritism then might as well not do it.

Hate to say it but I think it will be basically a dog and pony show. If there is an egregious transfer they will snag it but I don't have much hope overall. Hope I am wrong. |

Maybe I'm just older and more cynical now but I usually distrust an entity that calls itself a task force. |

Overall, I think that the AHSAA does a decent job with the resources that they have. Unfortunately, those recourses are pretty limited. I think it would go a long way to build their credibility with fans if they were to catch and punish some of the larger schools that have been recruiting for years now.

That's gonna be the big thing. There's been plenty of cases where a school gets hammered for the same thing another school gets a slap on the wrist. IF they can find a way to do this equitably, it will be great. But I fear it will be like the old Jerry Tarkanian quote..."The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky they put Cleveland State on probation for 4 years." |
