It doesn't help much, if you can't see which schools are which in the regional map. I was able to bring up the whole classification list, but no way to see the names of the sorted schools below.

The more I look at it, I'm beginning to think someone that works at the AHSAA took pictures of the regional pages and so forth, which is why there's no actual lists of teams in regions. It just leaves it up to you to figure out based on which pin is where. Doesn't really help in a bunched metro area, but I'm attempting to. Don't really like the gauntlet I think my teams in, though.

It's definitely "bootlegged." That's why i put "projected." I would guess the AHSAA isn't happy it got out. I know i wouldn't be if i was them! Official report is expected soon.

It's weird that they would release the new alignments almost two months earlier than they have for the last decade or so. They usually drop around the same day at the end of January. It would be interesting if because of this leak, they did wait till January, and tweaked the map and so forth a bit, just to make the one who leaked it wrong.

Exactly the conversation i had with some folks, Mountie. But, as i remember the numbers come out before the Super 6/7 so that coaches can schedule in person. I know for the 2016-18 alignment, the numbers were released very late, but that was due to the addition of 9th grade hold-backs. But i haven't been back in Alabama but for 2 realignments, this one being the 3rd.

Yes, I was referring to when the new alignments are released to the public. The coaches very well could have them before then. I also saw a post where the new alignments will be released after lunch today.

They are out. One major change is Scared Heart moved to 2A in basketball because of recent success. That is a new way to handle the private schools.

Madison Academy moved up to 5A in football and basketball with the new competitive balance rule. They are a small 4A I daily attendance.
