| As someone who lives in "region 8", I wouldn't have Lauderdale County there just yet. They are solid, but not explosive. They should be undefeated when Brooks plays them unless they lose this week to Rogers. Should be a good matchup with Rogers, arguably the 5th or 6th best team in region 8 4a. If they can force people to play their game, they are dangerous, but their region is weak and they should have won it last year. I have them at 15. |

Any idea how good Russellville is? I know they're in a weak region, but are they a team that's gonna scare any of the top teams in the post-season? |

Coming into the season, I would have said yes. John Ritter is a great coach and I really expected their defense to be really strong this year. They have looked great the last three weeks but it was against subpar competition.
I have kind of cooled on them based on their first two performances of the season, but sometimes it takes a team awhile to gel and I really don't know their injury situation. I think after this week we will know a lot more as they step up in class to play a really good Hartselle team. I don't expect them to win, but if they can be competitive then they could make some trouble for some teams in 5A.
All that being said, I fully expect them to run roughshod over the region. |
