Hearing through the grapevine that Jeff Pugh has been fired at East Limestone after second DUI.

Update: Pugh has resigned his position.

He has resigned but I figure that was to avoid having to fire him. Very unfortunate. My oldest played for Jeff. He was great to my son and for my son. I hate it for East Limestone, the kids, and everyone involved. However, you just can't have this kind of stuff. Too easy to get a ride.

I think it's the right move as well. I'm all for second chances when it comes to this stuff. However, this WAS his second chance.

East Limestone should be able to find a good replacement. This is one of the fastest growing areas of the state with a lot of potential for football success. As I said before last season, EL somehow seems to churn out some of the biggest offensive lines every single year.
