I like it.

In 4A I do think Jacksonville could be a real threat this season. I probably should have Randolph in my top ten. I know they return lot of players. I do not have much information on Brooks and Good Hope. 4A is the most difficult to pick because you just do not know how Catholic, Andalusia and Montgomery Academy will do with the move up.

In 3A, Piedmont will tough to beat this year. Anytime Jack Hayes is lined up at QB across from another team the Bulldogs will be favored. It will be interesting to see if Mars Hill can compete at this level. I do believe St. James will be very good with their skilled players returning.

In 2A I have to stick with 'never pick against Fyffe'. Maybe someday that will change but not right now. We will see if Stacy Luker is building a powerhouse at Clarke County. I also believe B.B. Comer will be very good.

I do like to see how others think. Thanks for sharing. I encourage other to join in selecting a top ten for any classification.

In fairness, I have Jacksonville 12th. I rely on local papers that I can glean some information from for teams not in my area. I know Good Hope was good last year and if the roster is right on Hudl, they have 23 upper classmen this year, 9 seniors and 14 juniors. According to Cullman Times they have 7 key contributors returning. It was a toss up between them and TR Miller for me. Maybe should've went with Miller.

A lot of people are overlooking Brooks because the duo of Murks and Wood graduated and they accounted for a large portion of last years offense. However, Brooks has weapons offensively with Harden, Jones and Joyner. Not 100% sure of what to expect with the new coaching staff and possibly a new offensive scheme, but they have some weapons. I picked West Morgan to win the region because they have a lot of returning starters and were a victim of the injury bug last year, but I need to see it from them before I put them in my top 10.

I fully expect Mars Hill to compete and win their region. Anytime you have Hanson and Thompson on the field, you got a good chance to win. I would generally agree with you Piedmont, but I think if there is anyone who can take that crown, it's Madison Academy.

Not going to chime in to much right now but here?s a few of my thoughts.

1. I think the polls have HANDLEY ranked a bit to high.

2. Anniston & Jacksonville has 2 of the top QB?s in the state that?s been flying under the radar.

That Anniston / Piedmont game is going to be a dang good one!

3. If Jack Hayes stays healthy, Piedmont captures another title!

I?ll add my thoughts later in the day when I clock out. :)

Jack will be Jack and the Piedmont O line should be typical Piedmont O Line which means they will be tough to stop on offense. The D Line should be just as capable as the O Line which means Piedmont will be a tough out. Trenches win championships and Piedmont should be near the top in 3A in both departments

With Coach Jimmy Perry, St James will always find a way to win games. This is his most talented offense to date with St James. He really built that program. It used to be great if the Trojans made the playoffs. Now they expect region titles and playoff contention. Crazy to think how well he has done for that program.
