Wow what a summer! I will glad when the season gets here. I stay busier the two months prior to football season and actually get a break once the season starts.
Lots of stuff being released at AHSFHS.org right now and more over the next two weeks. We finished our series on the coaches and started the series on the ASHFHS projections, predictions and polls for each classification yesterday.
Today I released our previews for every team. All 431 schools in the AHSAA and the AISA. Hope you enjoy them. I try to be as accurate as possible but may have missed a few players who transferred. I spend an unbelievable amount of time listening to media day coaches for every area that I can find along with searching the internet constantly to bring you the best coverage of each team all in one place. This year I did have some outside help with some of the areas and that was appreciated greatly.
Will we get some things wrong? Absolutely but we try to be accurate.
We also started a podcast if you have not noticed. Join TP Hammock, Kurt Duryea and myself as we talk about the upcoming season and what is going on in the world of high school football this week. We will be releasing a new podcast each Sunday evening.
Also something else new this season will be a weekly look at some of the more interesting games each week from the perspective of three knowledgeable fans across the state. They will give your their perspective into the games and even pick the winners for you. That will be a great addition.
Coming soon will the the AHSFHS Power Ratings and our predictions for the first week of scheduled games.
The ASWA polls are released tomorrow, Tuesday, and we will have those for you.
Look for more articles next week as the football season gets closer. I think that is about it for now. To find the previews for each team just select a favorite team and you will find the link to the previews.
So I need a nap right now.
