Half: Winfield 14 Dora 7
Hughes has ran the ball well for Winfield and their D has showed out. Dora has had trouble moving the ball unless Pryor is scrambling. |

Ohatchee up 32-8 on Saks with 8:xx in fourth.
Ohatchee was young and injury riddled last year so they are expected to be in a better year this year. They was like 0-7 before finishing 3-7 and making fourth seed last year when injuries got less. Ohatchee is looking pretty solid? slow pace offense but run and pound it.
Saks looks horrible. They are big and slow and they quarterback transferred to Anniston which was a back breaker. The defense is hitting the ball carrier 3 and 4 times and not locking up for the tackle. Basic fundamentals are not there. Behind RC in the region I honestly don?t know who else is playoff material.

FINAL: Ohatchee 32, Saks 8
The only thing I can say bad about Ohatchee is to many penalties. They basically ran a offense similar to Fyffe. Ohatchee will definitely make some noise.

Mars Hill was up on Cullman I think 48-21 in the 4th when I left. Panthers are going to be a threat in 3A north once again and looked solid all the way through, with the only exception being an ill-advised throw that led to a pick 6.
Looked like Cullman is going to have some growing pains this year. They'd been very run-heavy under Glasscock but Coach Stiff wants to open up the field a bit more. Ball security and tackling were issues but I'll grant them that Mars Hill's running back was extremely tough to bring down. I believe it will come down to Cullman and Decatur for the final playoff spot in that region. |

Geraldine vs Coosa
Geraldine is pretty stout defensively. They run a spread offense and used multiple RBs. 3 of their TDs came on 50+ yard plays. Plus Mann and Colvin are really good players for them on both sides of the ball.
Coosa Christian looks more physical than last year, especially on defense. But their OL got to play better. I think they can make it to the 1A title game.

I personally have high expectations for Geraldine. I think they are a sleeper pick in 3A.

Yes. Something like GT & Fyffe. They ate up like 9 minutes on the first drive before scoring.

| I don't know if Saks is going to be any good, but I heard on the broadcast that Ohatchee only has three seniors. Pretty good showing from a team with such few seniors. |

I still have some questions about Geraldine OL, but they looked good in all the other areas. Thanks, I think every high school football player in the area loved to read his picks.
