They get about Clay Chalkville. I live in Birmingham and all we have heard was Parker Parker Parker which the ranks from the ASWA reflect what I'm saying.
So keep calling me out every podcast. I described it in an earlier thread.
Not my fault y'all don't like Clay Chalkville but must put them there because you have no choice.
Just listen to the podcast you can tell who they are cheerleaderd for and who they aren't since they wanna call me out every week about Clay Chalkville being in the background when it comes to Parker and I clarified it here on and earlier post
Then my thread get whacked moves.
Ive said all this wihtout profanity or being disrespectful

You're truly making this more than what it is. The website and forum isn't full of sports writers or sports analysts. We are simply high school football fanatics, family and friends, and some coaches that give our own input and opinions on the forum and/or on podcasts. If you don't agree with it then that's fine. I've been here since 2015 and I've never seen any biased in a wrongful way here. And if our opinions are still to much for you to stomach, then maybe sports talk in general and this place isn't for you. I hope this place is the place for you. Offer your own opinion and views but don't take everything here to heart. Lastly, the power rankings and predictions are computer based (there's no human factor involved).

My intention was never to make anyone upset. I always love to call a big dog an underdog and talk about how little respect they get. It is just my sense of humor of sarcasm. Sorry that I made you upset about the podcast my friend. We just like to have a lot of fun on there and I love to throw sarcasm out there for David because he usually can dish it back

I think you may be misinformed on what this place is all about. Yes it is a forum. No it is not a place to trash talk or post anything negative about a team, school, coach or player. We have fun here. It's not a place to trash talk.
Do I have favorite teams? Absolutely. Everyone does. I don't even try to hide that fact. Why do I like one team over another? Many factors go into my that and many times I don't ever realize I favor one team over another. Anyone who covers sports has favorite teams. I didn't know there was a rule about being unbiased in sports.
I have said that in my opinion Parker is the most athletic team in the state in any classification. Most college scouts agree. Parker is also an underdog of sorts because they have never been to the Super 7 and who doesn't root for the underdog?
We cover 381 AHSAA teams and can only spend a minute or two on any team during the podcast. I'm sure we slight many teams who deserve more attention.
Here is my point. You seem to get hung up on certain things that seem trivial to me and most of the fans out there. I suggest you try posting more about whatever team it is you are a fan of and give us more information about the team. Give us game analysis or stats for players. Anything, just be positive and don't try to bring down any other program to make yours look better.
GiglnTiger is a great example of what a fan is since he always pumps up his favorite team and everyone knows which team he cheers for each week.
Everything you said is true. We are cheerleaders. We are for all 381 teams at some point during the season or at least try to be.
I listen to a dozen or more podcasts a week. I find them all the time. If I come across one I disagree with I don't go back. I have seen countless high school football websites come and go over the past 18 years. We must be doing something right to be around that long.
Lastly I do not delete posts. Moderators have the power to delete anything they deem unfit or anything that goes against what AHSFHS.org represents.

| I listen to the podcast. It just sounds like dudes talking ball. You're being sensitive. Parker has been hyped state wide and they are hands down the most talented team. They recruited better than anyone and if they don't win the state title it will be suprising. No one is over looking Clay Chalkville. They win, they're expected to win and that program is so good it's not news that they are winning and expected to play deep. You're not some great prognosticator for pointing out the obvious. Just chill and enjoy it, it all shakes out eventually. |
