I will pick one from each classification and I won't include Brooks Alexandria (even though there are a lot of interesting things in this game) because I pull for Brooks and I could always pick them.
7A: Auburn vs Thompson Two absolute behemoths in the largest classification meeting in the second round. Can't wait to see some of this one.
6A: Oxford vs. Hartselle Hartselle beat Oxford in a comeback thriller last year in the regular season. It was one of the best games I saw all year. Mims has been rolling but Hartselle is always a tough out.
5A: Williamson vs Central Clay Just appears to be the best game on paper. Both teams are loaded.
4A: Cherokee Co vs Central Florence Both teams play a similar type of game. Both teams like to ground and pound and that keeps the clock moving. Could be one of the quickest games all year.
3A: Fyffe vs Gordo Everyone wants to see how Fyffe responds without Anderson. And a lot of people overlook how important Anderson is on defense because he such a beast on offense.
2A: Winston Co vs Vincent I have been very high on WCHS all year. With Decatur Heritage losing like they did, it makes you wonder just how weak was their region. We all knew it was bad but I think most of us thought Decatur Heritage had a win or two in them.
1A: Leroy vs Georgiana Georgiana has kind of been overlooked by a lot of people and Leroy is Leroy. It could be a great game.
7A - Opelika @ Hoover I was favoring Opelika but now how will they respond to the situation with their head coach. 6A - Russell Co @ Spain Park 5A - Williamson @ Central Clay 4A - West Morgan @ Madison Academy 3A - T.R. Miller @ Trinity Most underrated game of the week in my opinion. 2A - Goshen @ Cottonwood This one screams upset! 1A - Elba @ Lindon Might be another shootout.
I will be glad when they get to the tv finals. I wish more were on tv than just the finals.
Well you can get an NFHS subscription. They are hit and miss with how good the streams are. Also FNN generally has a game of the week that you can stream.
