            Davis was AII-Conference three years, All-State two years, Most Valuable Player on team three years and Class A Lineman of the Year one time; Also played basketball and baseball; Did everything from passing from fullback slot to backing up line, the latter being his specialty; Had average of 10 tackles per game over last two seasons, also had 35-yard punting average.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
