 High School Bio:

            First team All-State, named to at least one All-America squad, also conference Lineman of the Year. Birmingham Post Scholastic Athlete in his school, offensive lineman of year in 1959. He also played baseball and basketball. As a senior, he was credited with 102 tackles, caught 11 passes for 272 yards and scored three touchdowns. He was rated an excellent blocker and kickoff-man.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
