 High School Bio:

            Scottsboro High fullback played 3 years varsity football specializing in place kicking and kicking field goals. Played in 8 games, gained over 1,000 yards, scored 18 touchdowns, ran 14 extra points. He was named All-State; All-Southern; All-Conference in football and basketball; Back of the Week twice and Best Back of Scottsboro Team. he was a good basketball player.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Bart Starr received coaching from Kentucky great Babe Parilli his senior season at Sidney Lanier in hopes of joining Bear Bryant at Kentucky. He had to settle for Alabama.
