 High School Bio:

            John Carroll High School of Birmingham. He was named Post-Heralds Football Player of the Week in 1961-62. He was a very good punter - averaged 056 yards in 3 punts in Tuscaloosa County game - 11 for 11 receptions in Comer game for approximately 175 yards. he was named Most valuable player in baseball in Junior year. Received Catholic Youth Organizations Most valuable player award in basketball.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
