Georgiana High School end was named All State, two years; Most valuable player 1961; nominated High School All-American Team. He was an excellent punter (Avg. 37.6 yards), good pass receiver and linebacker. Caught 24 passes for 624 yards, scored 11 touchdowns, averaged 10 tackles per game. Also played baseball and was Most Valuable basketball player 1961 & 1962.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
