            Deshler High (Tuscumbia) guard played 3 years varsity football specializing as a Linebacker. He was named All-State; All-Tennessee Valley Conference. He also played baseball and participated in Track. Lt. Governor of Alabama Boys State.

Homewood defeated Benjamin Russell in five overtimes during the Class 5A Super Six state championship game in 2000.
